NEON URBAN CULTURE PLAYFUL AUTHENTIC
Introducing Houmei
Houmei
Houmei is a fictional cart noodle shop that brings bold, comforting of Hong Kong’s iconic street food culture to Norway. The concept of the restaurant centers around the often forgotten cultural food icon of Hong Kong; Cart Noodles and playful cultural storytelling through translated Cantonese slang. Each bowl of noodles is customizable from the soup, to noodle type to toppings exactly the same way Hong Kong does it. Even if you’re an food adventurer seeking something new or traditionalist seeking authentic flavor, each bowl will be a reflection of you. The design was crafted to give you a authentic experience of the street food culture of Hong Kong, giving you the experience of the loud and playful atmosphere of Mong Kok’s Dai Pai Dong (open air food stall). Most thing is printed with riso to give even more authentic feel.
